Within safety limits, you choose the altitude, see it all from thousands of feet in the air or soar above the beaches from only 500 feet for an exhilarating perspective that you’ll never forget.
For someone who prefers to take control or has an interest in learning to fly, a trial instructional flight is the perfect gift. With an experienced instructor at their side, they’ll get a taste of every aspect of being a pilot.
Starting with learning to taxi the aircraft on the ground, they’ll soon be accelerating to take-off speed along the runway and pulling back on the controls to start climbing to thousands of feet above the ground. The instructor will coach them on achieving straight and level flight, turning and controlling the aircraft above the Central Coast’s lakes and beaches. The trial instructional flight ends with their first landing, with the instructor helping them to achieve the perfect touchdown via the dual control system.

Trial Instructional Flight$ 150 – $ 270Whether you’re thinking of learning to fly or just looking for an unforgettable experience, a Trial Instructional Flight with the Central Coast Aero Club is your first taste of being a pilot.The experience begins with a quick ground brief and pre-flight check with one of our experienced flight instructors, then its time to step into the cockpit and take to the skies in one of our Cessna 150s. Our flight instructor will be guiding you through the basics of taxiing on the ground, taking off and maneuvering in the air. You’ll can even try your hand at an instructor-assisted landing.
